I had the steak and fries, and a mackrel with this courgette that had been marinated and left in garlic oil etc. It sounds basic but it was cooked to a ***** standard. I used to travel and get per diem with work so used to max out my allowance on decent food. I was concerned about the prev chef leaving, but the new one is better. The service is friendly here. I rarely eat out The bar has a few locals but not 'an American Werewolf in London' type if you are staying from out of town. I would choose this over a Marriot or elsewhere if staying from work. 1 min to the bar and restarant from the room, 30 secs you are in town.

Lovely room albeit with some minor wear and tear. Beautiful hotel, ideal location. Breakfast was overall pleasant but some items, food as well as crockery, were missing and had to be requested. Pastries had run out already by 9.45. Coffee wasn't hot. Service very polite and made up for the lacking breakfast spread. Would stay here again.

An absolute dream stay! A beautiful room, perfect for exploring the town and ideally located for the theatres. The food for breakfast and dinner was really delicious. The service was impeccable and all members of the team were incredibly helpful, warm and friendly. Can't wait for my next visit!

We dropped by a few weeks ago for a drink and noticed their excellent tapas menu, so as big fans of Spanish cuisine we were back the following week to sample some of our favourites. I can genuinely say, this is some of the most authentic tapas I have ever had in the UK, and with the sun finally out, it almost felt like we were on holiday!

Nice hotel, reasonably priced and very central for Stratford-upon-Avon. I didn’t give 5 stars because on arrival we were told that continental breakfast was included for all guests (we’d booked four rooms for eight people). The next morning, though, someone else said it was only for people who booked directly, not through Expedia like we did. A little confusing, and honestly, considering we paid over £1000 between us, it would have been nice to honour what was first promised. That said, the rooms were lovely and spacious, and overall it’s a great base to explore from.

Impressive, historic buildings in a great location. The staff are lovely, friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the interia is in need of repair. We were told, shortly before arrival, there was a leak in the room but it was just noticed and only affected the ceiling over the shower. The main room was mostly unaffected, until the next day when the leak had spread, and the shower was still usable. Reading other recent reviews it is clear the leak has been present for more than a week, one showing water damage above the bath from September last year so not a new problem as reported to us. Didn't dampen the weekend as it was still a positive stay

Excellent public house near the centre of Stratford Upon Avon. We were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was at night time. Well located for all amenities. Very friendly staff and would highly recommend the breakfast menu as it was varied and portions were substantial. The room we were in was light and airy and the bathroom was massive with both shower and bath. Overall a very happy stay and would highly recommend.
